The SBGR261 is probably the dressiest full production Grand Seiko available today. It's inspired by the original 1960 Grand Seiko, a time before the brand had developed their famous sunburst dial and case design, and it features a gorgeous vintage-looking cream dial, accented by a blued seconds hand. It's also one of the best values among Grand Seiko automatics, particularly with its contemporary 39.5mm size. It also comes on a beautiful dark brown strap and deployant.
The 9S65 inside is an amazing movement with accuracy superior to Swiss chronometers. It also has a 72 hour power reserve, 80% longer than the industry average of 40 hours. It features advanced watchmaking technology to make that possible, like an in house SPRON alloy for the mainspring and hairspring and MEMS technology for near-molecular level precision manufacturing.
Like all Grand Seikos, it's hand assembled and polished by certified master watchmakers from start to finish before it goes through a 17 day testing period.
