The Tangente is the quintessential Nomos. You can see its inspiration in every single other model Nomos makes. Thanks to its understated Bauhaus design the Tangente has won several awards and has become a truly iconic watch in a very short time. The Tangente has beautiful heat blued hands against a classic silver plated (white in color) dial. The simple and austere finely printed even numerals are both legible and clean. Like every Nomos, a seconds subdial is employed, giving it a traditional look. This 33mm model is a great size for those with small wrists.
The Tangente is powered by Nomos' Alpha movement, the thinnest movement in their collection at just 2.6mm thick. Keeping in line with the traditional look of the Tangente, the Alpha is manually wound. It's extremely beautiful, featuring German watchmaking touches like Glashutte ribbing and blued screws. The movement has an above average power reserve of 43 hours and is adjusted in 6 positions. Six position adjustment helps compensate for the harmful effects of gravity on timekeeping and this level of adjustment is shared by precious few watchmakers, namely Patek Philippe, Jaeger LeCoultre and Grand Seiko.
